Overcoming Heartache and Depression

Mum of two and ‘architect auditor’ Jules, bravely opens up about her battles with overcoming heartache and depression over the last few years…

Depression comes in many different forms. Sometimes it is brought on by a traumatic life event, as Jules shares with us…

overcoming heartache and depression

“My Heartache and depression over the last three years arose from feeling abandoned by people I considered friends and being forced out of my home and social circles. I was left in solitude and helplessness, feeling totally alone. In these last three years I have had to battle to retain a home for myself and my children. I have been on anti-depressants for three years, which have undoubtedly helped me. Stupidly, I attempted suicide when my ex husband left me as my heart was truly broken. It remains broken to this day.”

“I have immersed myself in work, which is extremely important to me, but it never fills the void that I continue to feel. I feel unloveable, unattractive and unworthy. My children, who are amazing, have gotten over their step dad leaving, but I just haven’t.”

“People at my workplace have expressed that they feel I am undervalued, and that I spread joy and happiness wherever I go! How good is my mask! I love my job and I am grateful that my colleagues feel that way about me. It is my purpose to make my colleagues happy and relaxed when I visit their studios. So yaaaay me!!!”

“I need to feel confident and fulfilled. To feel the love and joy that I give to my colleagues, even though I don’t feel it myself. When I leave the various studios knowing that my colleagues are happy, but whatever feeling I give to them, is not what I feel within myself. I am an actor, my colleagues are really important to me, so I give them what they need, but it doesn’t fulfil me.”

“Although my heartache and depression overcomes me, my job and children keep me going. With the routine and support they provide. I am trying really hard to pull myself together, but it ain’t easy. But I will get there. Xx”

    Dear Jules,

Never ever doubt yourself that you are a sexy and beautiful woman, which truly deserves, like everyone else, to be happy in this life. Don’t give the man who left you the opportunity to destroy you and enjoy what he is done to you, turn it around girl and see it as a blessing!, an opportunity to allow you to grow as a person and discover who you truly are, by the sounds of it, a beautiful human being. Search within your soul what you have always wanted to do and do it!!!…life is too short, have fun!!! Whatever it rocks your boat!!!. You have a wonderful family so you’ll never be alone and when you feeling down..get up, dress up and never give up, you are your own hero!
