As I approach my mid thirties and embark into motherhood Im very conscious of taking care of my skin. As a previous sunbed fanatic (true Essex style!) and years spent working in the sun in the equestrian industry, my skin is taking its toll. I question myself all the time wether I should be so open about my depression and bulimia. What are the pros and the cons? Strong arguments for both cases in my head…..

Mostly I worry people will think Im weird or think less of me. But thats what spurs me on. People shouldn’t think less of someone because they have mental health challenges.

Pulling into the busy car park in the early afternoon, at the civic hall in Grays Essex, I feel the buoyancy in the atmosphere. I pull up and absorb my surroundings. The rejoicing of children and teenagers as they run across the car park to the venue, laughter from the adults as they converse in conversation.
